Pixar Does It Again: An Inside Out Review
By Let Alcobendas

Really, Pixar? Feelings with feelings?

The first time I saw Inside Out’s trailer, I was ecstatic. The trailer was so good I immediately listed the movie under my definitely-to-watch list.

The film was about Riley, an 11-year old girl whose life changed when her family moved to San Francisco. It starred the 5 main emotions: Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger, and Disgust. The one hour and 42-minute movie showcased a well-thought of and beautifully constructed plot. There was not a single boring part in the film and it sure took its viewers to a roller coaster ride of emotions. Seeing Joy in the first scene made me excited and teary eyed while Bing Bong’s scene hit me right in the chest. I cried hysterically when *spoiler alert* he sacrificed himself for Joy to save Riley. It was fascinating to be in a movie house where you can hear viewers switch from laughs to sobs.

If there was a character I really liked, it would be Sadness. She got me laughing but eventually found myself guilty liking her. It made me ask why sadness does exist in the first place. The film successfully gave its viewers the realization that all our emotions are important; that feeling sad is just as crucial as feeling happy. Watching it three times also made me realize that as we grow older, our emotions begin to blend together to become newer and more complicated feelings.

Indeed, Pixar did it again. I definitely recommend everyone to watch Inside Out. The film will not only keep you entertained, it will also remind you of life’s simplest lessons. There you go! GTG, going to watch it for the 4th time! :)
